MINI5280 > ColoradoRick  > Cars > Wide to Walden
Let's take a "Wide to Walden." The ride was one of the first MINI5280 rides of the year, but not the first to encounter snowy conditions. The 300 mile wound twip wide to Walden, Colo. began in Denver, north then west to the tiny town of Masonville (it was closed) and north to the Cache La Poudre River (and Scenic Byway). Upstream along the river, over Cameron Pass (10,276 ft) and through the Colorado State Forest in to the town of Walden, famous for its Moose population. After lunch in Walden, we headed south toward Granby after crossing the Continental Divide at Willow Creek Pass (9621 ft). After Granby and Winter Park, we headed over Berthoud Pass (11,315 ft) where we crossed the Continental Divide again (now on the Atlantic side) and head back home to Denver.
