ColoradoRick > The 2nd Annual MINI5280.org Yalla Yalla was Nov. 14, 2004. Yalla Yalla is supposedly Balinese for wandering about. This scavenger hunt began at the Ralph Schomp MINI dealership at noon.
ColoradoRick > Finding the starting point was made pretty easy by this large road cone. Motorers and their navigators checked in and obtained the ride swag.
ColoradoRick > Official Yalla Yalla / MINI5280 refrigerator magnet (business card size), by your host, Rick. Generous 2004 Yalla Yalla sponsors Ralph Schomp MINI (www.ralphschomp.com), Webb Motorsports (www.webbmotorsports.com) and North American Motoring (www.northamericanmotoring.com) all contributed enough prizes for all YY'ers -- from t-shirts to auto detailing to a pulley installation! One happy camper walked away in a brand new pair of red MINI slippers!
ColoradoRick > The Yalla Yalla-ers receive their final instructions from MINI5280 president Jonathan. Driver and trusty navigator must answer music trivia on provided CD, obtain answers from landmarks along the way (after getting there in the first place) and wave to their fellow YY motorers.
ColoradoRick > Around 40 (?) new and classic Minis of all colors lined both sides of the street on this brisk November day.
ColoradoRick > Warm enough to go topless, but don't let the ride sheet blow away!
ColoradoRick > The right-hand drive classic Mini stops at Tiny Town for a few answers.
ColoradoRick > Further into the foothills of the Denver metro area, another couple of answers just ahead.
